Data Scientist

About the role

Logile is seeking a Data Scientist to turn complex retail business challenges into analytical solutions. You will work with real‑world datasets, build usable models and provide actionable insights that drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Translate ambiguous business problems into structured analytical approaches and define success metrics.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, handle data quality issues and engineer features from structured and unstructured data.
• Develop, validate and interpret forecasting, classification, recommendation and hybrid models, including deep‑learning and stochastic techniques.
• Collaborate with machine‑learning engineers to productionize models using Docker, REST APIs and cloud platforms.
• Communicate model outcomes through dashboards, reports and presentations to cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in data science or analytics roles.
• Proven ability to solve real‑world business problems with data‑driven methods.
• Strong analytical mindset and focus on model interpretability and performance.

Required skills

• Python or R programming.
• SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Scikit‑learn, tree‑based models, statistical modeling, transformer‑based and stochastic models.
• Advanced statistics, parametric/non‑parametric methods, frequentist and Bayesian techniques.
• Feature engineering for real‑time, batch and vector databases.
• Docker, FastAPI/Flask for REST APIs.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Familiarity with feature stores and model registries (MLOps).
