Data Engineer, Play Data Science and Analytics

About the role

Google Play’s Data Science and Analytics team is looking for a Data Engineer to design and build the next generation of data infrastructure. You will own key components of the data warehouse, create scalable pipelines, and enable AI‑driven insights for product and market decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest, process, and store data from multiple sources.
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and automated reporting.
• Conduct quantitative analysis to support business decisions.
• Develop and manage data foundations and models tailored for AI/ML initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and engineers to define standards and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, data infrastructure, or data analytics.
• Experience with database administration techniques and software development.
• Proven ability to deliver and maintain data projects from conception to production.
