Data Engineer

About the role

Sandvik is looking for a Data Engineer to join its digital manufacturing team in Pune, India. You will translate business and data requirements into robust ELT pipelines that feed high‑quality data assets across bronze, silver and gold layers. The role involves close collaboration with data architects, analytical engineers and AI engineers to ensure data solutions meet performance and reliability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement ELT pipelines for bronze, silver and gold data layers.
• Collaborate with Data Architects to create optimal technical designs.
• Work with Analytical Engineers, AI Engineers and Data Analysts to ensure data assets satisfy their needs.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise pipeline performance for reliability and efficiency.
• Document data flows and share knowledge to promote reuse across teams.
