Data Engineer II – Automation & Process Improvement

About the role

Mastercard Services is seeking a Data Engineer II to drive automation and process improvement across its global services division. The role focuses on designing scalable solutions, supporting low‑code application development, and ensuring efficient delivery of data‑driven products.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex problem resolutions and design automation solutions.
• Contribute to the incubation of new low‑code applications.
• Coordinate project schedules, status reporting, and stability of project‑oriented work.
• Develop detailed project plans and oversee implementation processes.
• Communicate project status to senior management and align stakeholder expectations.
• Consult on new products, processes, standards, and plans for the Merchant Offers business.
• Optimize business processes, establish standard practices, and recommend improvements.
• Translate customer needs into process‑improvement objectives and coordinate implementation.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in process automation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with senior leaders.
• Experience consulting on product and process enhancements.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Alteryx (mandatory).
• Familiarity with Tableau.
• Familiarity with Qlik.
