Data Engineer I

About the role

Netomi is looking for a Data Engineer I to join its Analytics team in Gurugram. You will work closely with data scientists, product, engineering, and customer success teams to build data pipelines, perform analysis, and help improve product operations.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable, secure, and reliable data pipelines using platforms such as Spark, Databricks, Airflow, and Snowflake.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes to ingest data from structured and unstructured sources.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, validate data integrity, and generate insights for business decisions.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to design data models that support high‑quality analytics and real‑time insights.
• Write clean, maintainable Python code with comprehensive unit and integration tests.
• Take ownership of end‑to‑end feature delivery in an agile, collaborative environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in data engineering or backend software development.
• Solid understanding of relational databases such as RDS, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ for building asynchronous systems.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, and at least one orchestration tool (e.g., Airflow, Luigi, Prefect).
• Strong experience with cloud‑based data platforms like AWS Redshift, GCP BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Deep knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and distributed systems.
