Data Engineer – Build AI‑Ready Data Pipelines (Remote, India)

About the role

Cloud202 is seeking a Data Engineer to design and build production‑grade data pipelines on AWS that power its agentic AI platform. The role focuses on turning raw, messy sources into trusted, agent‑ready knowledge while ensuring data quality, governance, and auditability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end data pipelines on AWS (ingestion, ETL, validation, storage).
• Implement quality gates, deterministic transforms, and validation against expected outcomes.
• Manage medallion lakehouse storage and maintain lineage that complies with ISO 42001 and EU AI Act requirements.
• Collaborate closely with AI and architecture teams to keep data findable, governed, and retrievable by agents.
• Support multi‑tenant SaaS data isolation and regulated‑market data handling where needed.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on data engineering experience, with a significant portion on AWS.
• Strong working knowledge of AWS data services and production‑grade Python and SQL coding.
• Commitment to reproducibility, deterministic processing, and treating data quality as a first‑class, gated stage.

Required skills

• AWS S3, AWS Glue, AWS Iceberg, AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, AWS Kinesis, AWS MSK.
• Python (production level) and SQL.
• Data quality frameworks such as Glue Data Quality or Deequ.
• Lineage tooling (e.g., OpenLineage).
• Familiarity with vector stores or knowledge graphs (e.g., Amazon Neptune) – a plus.
• Lake Formation, fine‑grained access control, and Amazon Bedrock – nice to have.
