Data Centre Operation Technician

About the role

You will join the Data Centre Operations team at Amazon Data Services India Private Limited, supporting the global AWS infrastructure. The role focuses on maintaining and operating data‑centre hardware and Linux systems to ensure continuous service for AWS customers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and upkeep data‑centre infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, power and cooling equipment.
• Install server racks and perform hardware break‑fix on a variety of components.
• Troubleshoot network issues and respond to emergent situations affecting operational stability.
• Serve as the primary contact for internal teams (Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Developers, Technical Operations) and external partners (hardware vendors, contractors, service providers).
• Work against assigned trouble tickets, meet SLA targets and provide first‑line technical support.

Required profile

• Experience with data‑centre operations and Linux‑based systems.
• Strong technical aptitude for hardware maintenance and network troubleshooting.
• Ability to interact effectively with both internal technical teams and external service partners.
• Willingness to work in a fast‑paced, 24/7 operational environment.
