Data Center Technician (DCO) – Data Center Operations

About the role

Amazon Data Services India Private Limited (ADSIPL) is looking for a skilled Data Centre Linux & Hardware Engineer to join its Data Center Operations (DCO) team. You will help maintain and expand the world‑class AWS cloud infrastructure by ensuring the reliability of servers, storage, networking, power and cooling equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure server racks and related hardware in the data centre.
• Perform hardware break‑fix on servers, storage, networking and power components.
• Troubleshoot network and infrastructure issues, responding to emergent situations that affect operational stability.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams (Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Developers, Technical Operations) and external partners (hardware vendors, contractors, service providers).
• Manage and resolve trouble tickets within defined SLAs using the assigned workflow.

Required profile

• Passion for technology and experience working in a data‑centre environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse engineering and operations teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and capacity to handle urgent operational incidents.

Required skills

• Linux operating system administration.
• Hardware installation and maintenance (servers, networking gear, power & cooling).
• Server rack installation.
• Network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure services.
