Data & Automation Engineer

About the role

Join a fast‑growing consulting team to design and operate data systems that enable real business transformation. You will work closely with finance consultants to turn messy ERP, CRM and accounting data into clean, unified platforms that power decision‑making dashboards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) for internal reporting and client projects.
• Build and run ETL/ELT pipelines in Python to ingest data from APIs, SFTP, cloud exports and third‑party systems.
• Integrate diverse data sources into a unified data platform, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Write and optimise complex SQL queries for transformation and reporting use cases.
• Support backend data for Power BI dashboards and custom reporting tools.
• Collaborate with finance consultants to structure financial data and improve reporting efficiency.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in SQL database development, schema design and query optimisation.
• Strong Python programming skills for data engineering, API integration and automation.
• Experience ingesting data from REST APIs, databases, SFTP and cloud platforms.
• Comfortable working in Linux command‑line environments and with containerised workflows (Docker).
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
