Data Architect – Cloud‑Native Solutions on AWS

About the role

The Data Architect will design and implement cloud‑native data architectures on AWS to support serviceability analytics, monitoring, and predictive insights for Philips. This senior role collaborates with cross‑functional scrum teams to ensure data quality, security, and compliance while driving scalable pipeline development.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end cloud‑native data architectures on AWS for serviceability analytics.
• Develop scalable data pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, and related services.
• Define workflows for data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, and storage with S3, Athena, and Glue.
• Ensure data security, compliance, and governance across all pipelines.
• Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms using CloudWatch and custom metrics.
• Contribute to cloud cost optimization, architectural design reviews, and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 + years of experience in data architecture or related fields.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Athena, Glue, API Gateway, CloudFront, and ECS.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, partitioning strategies, and performance tuning for large datasets.
• Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code tools like CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
