Data and Software Application Engineer

About the role

In this role you will develop and maintain software applications for Philips Service Parts Supply Chain (SPS). You will work on workflow applications, process automations, control towers and AI implementations that support functions such as supply management, planning and parts lifecycle management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain existing SPS databases and software applications.
• Design and develop new applications in collaboration with business owners, IT and subject‑matter experts.
• Document applications and ensure they are understood by key stakeholders.
• Support software validation and act as the primary contact for application‑related queries.
• Lead or contribute to incident and issue resolution, and assist with post‑incident clean‑up.
• Contribute to a data and digital platform architecture that enables integration and AI extensions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of hands‑on experience in programming and Oracle database development.
• Strong knowledge of supply‑chain processes.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to work on multiple projects in a global, cross‑cultural environment.
