Data Analyst – Data Remediation (Mumbai)

About the role

Capco is seeking a Data Analyst specialized in data remediation to join its Mumbai team. You will work with cross‑functional stakeholders in the financial services sector, turning complex data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets using statistical techniques, software tools, and AI technologies.
• Identify trends and patterns within data to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with SMEs to prioritize business and information needs.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to develop data‑driven solutions.
• Create and maintain documentation, including design specifications and user manuals for data projects.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and other stakeholders.
• Communicate complex findings to non‑technical audiences clearly and concisely.

Required profile

• Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, preferably 5‑7 years.
• Experience in the financial services industry or another highly regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of reporting packages, databases (SQL), and automation tools such as Alteryx.
• Familiarity with data‑visualisation tools like Qlik or PowerBI.
• Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Adept at writing queries, creating reports, and presenting findings.
