Data Analyst – Data Modelling & Power BI

About the role

We are looking for a Data Analyst specialized in data modelling and Power BI to join our team in Bangalore. You will design robust data models, build insightful dashboards, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform data modelling activities including extraction, transformation, cleansing, and validation.
• Design and develop efficient data models to support scalable analytics and reporting solutions.
• Create, validate, and maintain Power BI dashboards and visualisations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, SMEs, and technical teams to capture reporting and analytics requirements.
• Analyse large, complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, gaps and actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain database schemas, ETL processes, and reporting structures.
• Ensure data quality, consistency and reliability across analytics solutions.
• Report project status, risks and issues to stakeholders regularly.
• Produce and maintain technical, process and end‑user documentation.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics and business intelligence.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of professional experience in data analytics or BI development.
• Graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Applications or IT.
• Strong communication skills and client‑facing experience.

Required skills

• SQL and T‑SQL.
• Data modelling concepts (Star schema, Snowflake schema).
• Power BI development (DAX, Row‑Level Security, Gateway, Administration).
• SSIS and SSAS.
• Version control tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket.
• Cloud platforms Azure and Databricks.
• Database technologies including Oracle.
• Python (preferred).
• Alteryx or Knime (advantage).
