Data Analyst Apprentice

About the role

HSBC is looking for a Data Analyst Apprentice to support marketing and customer engagement campaigns. This 1‑year apprenticeship offers hands‑on experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting within a global banking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support design, execution, and evaluation of campaigns by analysing performance data and defining success metrics.
• Gather and prepare data from multiple sources such as CRM and digital platforms.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Excel, Power BI or Looker to track campaign effectiveness.
• Translate data into actionable insights and recommend optimisation opportunities.
• Collaborate with marketing, product and business teams to align analytics with campaign objectives.
• Maintain documentation of analytics processes, methodologies and findings.
• Continuously learn and apply new analytics techniques and tools.

Required profile

• Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with a knack for breaking down complex problems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in diverse teams.
• Learning agility and a growth mindset, eager to adapt to new challenges.
• Interest in emerging data‑analytics technologies and trends.
• Demonstrated achievement through academic projects, internships, hackathons or relevant coursework.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or final‑year student) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics or related field; fresh graduates welcome.
