Cybersecurity Asset Management and Observability Manager

About the role

As the Cybersecurity Asset Management and Observability Manager you will own and modernize the enterprise monitoring and observability program, shifting from traditional alerting to predictive detection and intelligent event correlation. You will work closely with the SOC team and multiple vendors to turn observability data into actionable security insights while leading a team of engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and evolve a predictive, automated observability platform using tools such as Datadog, BigPanda, SolarWinds, Zabbix and Grafana.
• Manage availability and performance of critical IT systems, conduct root‑cause analysis of outages and drive preventative actions.
• Build automated remediation and self‑healing workflows, integrating monitoring data with ITSM and orchestration platforms.
• Partner with cybersecurity/SOC teams to provide contextual observability signals for security investigations.
• Lead a team of personnel and contract developers, overseeing configuration, coding, testing and QA for monitoring tooling.
• Plan and execute projects within scope, timeline, budget and quality constraints, and define metrics to measure portfolio value.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure engineering or SRE.
• Proven track record of maturing an end‑to‑end observability program, including architecture, predictive alerting and noise reduction.
• Experience supporting large‑scale, global, hybrid cloud‑on‑prem environments.
• People‑management experience or readiness for a first‑line management role.

Required skills

• Datadog, BigPanda, SolarWinds, Zabbix, Grafana (or equivalents such as Prometheus, Splunk, AppDynamics).
• Python, PowerShell or similar scripting for automation.
• API integration and automation of monitoring platforms.
• ITSM/orchestration tools and ticketing systems.
