Cyber Security Specialist

About the role

CyOpsPath is seeking a proactive Cyber Security Specialist to join its fast‑growing team. You will play a critical role in protecting the organization’s digital assets by monitoring threats, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance across cloud and on‑premise environments.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor security systems, logs, and network traffic to detect suspicious activity and execute incident response procedures.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments, security scans, and penetration testing; work with engineering teams to apply remediation patches.
• Implement and enforce security controls such as firewalls, encryption, IAM policies, and multi‑factor authentication.
• Assess and harden cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid infrastructures to meet best‑practice and compliance standards.
• Create clear security documentation, incident reports, and awareness guidelines for cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, information security, or system administration.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication.
• Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, GSEC).

• Proficiency with SIEM tools
• Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint detection & response (EDR) solutions
