Cyber Security Specialist

About the role

The Cyber Security Specialist will join TeamDeloitte’s cyber risk team to coordinate incident response, act as a liaison across business units, and help embed security into strategic initiatives. The role requires a proactive, analytical mindset and the ability to operate under pressure, including on‑call duties.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate response efforts to cyber incidents, including non‑traditional working hours.
• Serve as a liaison between business partners, security teams, vendors, and external parties.
• Drive integration with corporate incident‑management programs to ensure consistency.
• Lead small‑to‑medium projects as directed by leadership.
• Develop, document, and continuously improve response processes and playbooks.
• Produce metrics, draft communications, and provide timely updates to leadership during and after incidents.
• Own and manage the team’s internal action playbooks and knowledge base.
• Validate root causes, propose solutions, and document fact‑based incident reports.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in at least two of the following: SOC L3 or senior role, Security Incident Response, eDiscovery/forensic analysis.
• Deep understanding of security threats, vulnerabilities, and incident response methodologies.
• Experience with electronic investigations, forensic tools, log correlation, and malware analysis.
• Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements surrounding security incidents.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call rotation.
• Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, and emotional intelligence under pressure.
