Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust security systems and protocols that protect our organization’s assets. The role involves close collaboration with development and operations teams to embed security throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security systems and protocols.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
• Monitor security tools, analyze logs, and respond to incidents and alerts.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Integrate security practices into the SDLC with development and operations teams.
• Research emerging threats, technologies, and regulations to keep defenses proactive.
• Provide expert guidance on security matters to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering.
• Strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with network security, SIEM tools, and cloud security platforms.
• Familiarity with industry frameworks and compliance standards.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation for security tasks.

Required skills

• Network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, secure network architectures).
• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools such as Splunk, ELK Stack, QRadar.
• Vulnerability management and penetration testing tools.
• Cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and securing cloud‑native applications.
• Industry frameworks and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2).
• Scripting languages for automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• DevSecOps principles and SOAR tools.
