Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

Toku is looking for a hands‑on Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen security operations across its infrastructure, cloud, systems, and networks. This practical security‑operations position sits within the Infrastructure & Cybersecurity function and focuses on implementing controls, monitoring risks, and responding to incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate and respond to security events, alerts, threats and incidents across systems, networks, cloud infrastructure and endpoints.
• Implement and maintain security controls across infrastructure, access, firewalls, endpoints, cloud and system environments.
• Support incident‑response activities, including investigation, containment, root‑cause analysis and remediation.
• Identify, assess, prioritise and help remediate vulnerabilities across operating systems, infrastructure, applications and services.
• Assist with security hardening and best‑practice implementation for AWS and hybrid environments.
• Manage and improve access control, password policies, account permissions and related processes.
• Review firewall rules, network access and infrastructure security configurations.
• Support, improve or implement security monitoring tools, including SIEM solutions.
• Conduct or support vulnerability assessments, risk assessments, security control testing and remediation tracking.
• Liaise with external penetration testers, auditors and help close security findings.
• Create and improve security procedures, runbooks and operational practices.
