Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

ScandVPN is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Cyber Security Analyst to protect its privacy‑first VPN service. You will monitor security events, identify threats, and respond to incidents to keep our infrastructure safe and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events across the VPN infrastructure using SIEM and IDS/IPS tools.
• Assess application and network security, perform vulnerability assessments and malware analysis.
• Support the implementation of security controls, encryption standards, and best‑practice configurations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security into product design and review access controls.
• Produce clear reports and recommendations for continuous security improvement and compliance.

Required profile

• Strong background in Application Security, Network Security, and Malware Analysis.
• Experience with security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Knowledge of encryption, secure protocols (WireGuard, TLS) and VPN architectures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to privacy‑focused security practices.
