Cyber Security Analyst I – Bangalore

About the role

The Cyber Security Analyst I at Westlake is responsible for protecting the organization’s IT infrastructure through proactive monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management. Based in Bangalore, the role works early‑morning shifts and collaborates with both technical and non‑technical teams to ensure a secure computing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and fine‑tune security monitoring, endpoint, and network controls across desktops, servers, printers, and network devices.
• Partner with stakeholders to remediate vulnerabilities and security compromises, documenting actions and outcomes.
• Maintain and publish updates to cyber security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Develop risk‑based security recommendations and present options to IT leadership.
• Tri­age, manage, and resolve cybersecurity incident tickets with timely status updates.
• Coordinate security audits, support risk assessments, collect evidence, and track remediation.
• Investigate attempted breaches, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead the vulnerability management program, including scans, tracking, bi‑weekly reviews, and reporting.
• Administer critical security systems such as firewalls, endpoint security, intrusion prevention, NAC, internet filtering, email spam filtering, and phishing‑exercise tools.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation for critical incidents outside regular hours.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Security, Cyber Security or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on cyber security experience.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP) are a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
