Cyber Information Security Officer

About the role

Saab is expanding its defence manufacturing footprint in Jhajjar, India, and needs a senior professional to lead cyber and information security at the new plant. As the Cyber Information Security Officer (CISO) you will be the local point of responsibility for all security matters, ensuring the facility complies with Saab’s internal frameworks and Indian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain awareness of emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities affecting the plant.
• Implement and sustain compliance with Saab corporate security policies, the Security Manual for Licensed Defence Industries (SMLDI), and the Indian IT Act.
• Support identity, access and security administration tasks across the site.
• Coordinate with local IT support, external partners and all Saab India entities on security matters.
• Conduct audits, inspections and other compliance activities, acting as the liaison between the plant and Saab’s central security functions.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience in cyber and information security, preferably in regulated or industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of security governance, risk management and compliance.
• Hands‑on experience with Indian regulations such as SMLDI and the IT Act.
• Ability to work with both global corporate frameworks and local regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication skills in Hindi and English for interaction with stakeholders at all levels.
