Customer Service Specialist

About the role

The Customer Service Specialist will support daily customer service operations and carrier utilization, ensuring performance and profitability targets are met. The role involves managing on‑site assets, coordinating shipments, and acting as a key liaison between clients and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with client Customer Service and Production Planning teams to forecast shipping and delivery needs.
• Attend client meetings and use shipping, planning, and forecasting reports to gather relevant data.
• Communicate shipping requirements and forecasts accurately to internal stakeholders.
• Resolve client and carrier inquiries promptly and handle service‑related issues.
• Conduct freight bill audits and address billing discrepancies.
• Report customer feedback and any signs of dissatisfaction to management.
• Act as a liaison between customers and load‑movement operations.
• Maintain data integrity in PLSpro and manage on‑site asset programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the business.

• Proficient with PC and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑stress environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Skilled at multitasking and prioritising workload.
