Customer Service Associate – US Retirement Services

About the role

The Customer Service Associate will join Accenture's Retirement Services team, supporting US‑based defined contribution plans such as 401(k) and 403(b). The role focuses on participant‑level services, money‑out processing, and accurate data entry across multiple digital platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage participant services for defined contribution plans, including 401(k) and 403(b) accounts.
• Process money‑out transactions such as in‑service withdrawals, survivor benefits, annuities, hardship withdrawals, rollovers, lump‑sum distributions, RMDs, and loan payoffs.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, COPIS, exception capture, process flows, maps, and NIGO rules.
• Enter, verify, and update data in spreadsheets or databases with high accuracy.
• Ensure strict confidentiality and compliance with client policies and federal/state regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 1‑3 years of general experience and at least 3 years in US retirement services.
• Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle routine problems using established guidelines.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts if required.

Required skills

• Data entry and Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Knowledge of US retirement products (401(k), 403(b), defined contribution plans).
• Experience with money‑out processes (withdrawals, annuities, RMDs, etc.).
• Process documentation, COPIS, process mapping, and NIGO rule creation.
• ASPPA certification (preferred).
