Customer Service Associate

About the role

Accenture is seeking a Customer Service Associate to support its US Retirement Services team. The role focuses on managing participant‑level services and processing a variety of money‑out transactions for 401(k) and 403(b) plans.

Key responsibilities

• Process and administer money‑out requests such as in‑service withdrawals, survivor benefits, annuities, hardship withdrawals, rollovers, lump‑sum distributions, required minimum distributions and loan payoffs.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, exception handling procedures, process flows and NIGO (Not‑In‑Good‑Order) rules.
• Ensure strict confidentiality and compliance with client policies, federal, state and local regulations.
• Provide accurate data entry of participant information into spreadsheets or databases, verifying correctness and completeness.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors, following detailed instructions for routine and new assignments.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in the US retirement services domain (401(k), 403(b), defined contribution plans).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent typing speed, attention to detail and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in rotational shift patterns.

Required skills

• Knowledge of US retirement plan processes and money‑out transactions.
• Experience with process documentation, SOP creation and exception handling.
• ASPPA certification (preferred).
