Customer Application Engineer

About the role

The Customer Application Engineer (CAE) provides technical support to customers and collaborates with sales and field application teams to develop opportunities using Monolithic Power Systems products. The role involves troubleshooting, system design assistance, and driving new product ideas.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers and sales channel partners across the territory.
• Coordinate technical matters with the factory team and manage joint development programs.
• Identify new customers, applications, and opportunities, and communicate product promotion activities to headquarters.
• Lead technical discussions, hands‑on demonstrations, and evaluate emerging technology evaluation kits.
• Develop and deliver technical training for internal teams and customers.

Required profile

• 5‑6 years of hands‑on experience in power management, design, testing, or as a field application engineer in the semiconductor industry.
• Automotive design/development background is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
• Self‑starter able to operate with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Power electronics circuit design (DC/DC converters, PMICs).
• Experience with I2C, PMBus interfaces.
• Automotive power electronics knowledge.
• Understanding of power supply architectures, control loops, battery front‑end protection, USB and BMS applications.
• Ability to evaluate electronic performance of EVB and customer boards on bench.
