Custom Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Custom Software Engineer to design, code, and enhance integration solutions on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Integration Suite. The role combines strong integration engineering fundamentals with AI‑driven capabilities to deliver scalable, high‑performing solutions that connect SAP and non‑SAP systems across cloud, on‑premise, and hybrid environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate end‑to‑end integration scenarios using SAP BTP Integration Suite.
• Create, maintain, and modularise integration flows (iFlows) with clear reusability and maintainability.
• Implement message transformations and mappings for formats such as JSON, XML, and CSV.
• Use Groovy scripting for complex logic, enrichment, validation, and conditional execution.
• Enable secure APIs and connectors, applying policies, authentication, throttling, and versioning.
• Build AI‑native integration agents that generate initial iFlows and provide retrieval‑grounded assistance.
• Apply canonical modelling and contract‑first practices to reduce point‑to‑point dependencies.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in integration engineering.
• Completed at least 15 years of full‑time education (e.g., bachelor’s degree).
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on delivering production‑grade integrations.
