Custom Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Custom Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for automotive testing and simulation environments. The role focuses on creating scalable, high‑performing Python applications that work across Windows, Linux, and macOS platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement HIL hardware driver abstraction layers for reusable test interfaces.
• Develop OS‑agnostic Python automation frameworks supporting automotive validation activities.
• Integrate and automate CARLA and CarMaker simulation environments for scenario‑based testing.
• Create, package, version, and distribute Python libraries in .whl format for internal consumption.
• Maintain and extend reusable libraries such as P736, CX735, S750, and U758.
• Document architecture, APIs, installation procedures, and usage guidelines.
• Support continuous improvement of automation processes and reusable software components.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in test automation, Python development, or automotive testing.
• Strong hands‑on experience with cross‑platform Python applications.
• Familiarity with HIL testing concepts and hardware interfaces.
• Ability to work collaboratively with distributed, multi‑national teams.
