Custom Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Custom Software Engineer to design, develop and enhance bespoke software solutions for our clients. The role involves using modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performance applications that meet specific business needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams from our Mumbai office.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, and improve software components across systems or applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Maintain and enhance existing applications to boost performance and user experience.
• Document development processes, code changes and ensure maintainability.
• Participate actively in team discussions, provide solutions to technical problems and act as a subject‑matter expert.
• Mentor junior developers by sharing knowledge and best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience developing in Python.
• At least 15 years of full‑time education (equivalent to a university degree).
• Ability to work independently and become a subject‑matter expert.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and agile delivery.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming and software design patterns.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of debugging and performance‑tuning techniques.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, well‑documented code.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
