CSSD Technician – Central Sterilization & Supply (Preet Vihar)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated CSSD Technician to join our Central Sterilization & Supply Department at a hospital in Preet Vihar, New Delhi. The role ensures that all operation theatre instruments are sterilised according to strict protocols, helping to minimise hospital‑acquired infections.

Key responsibilities

• Sterilise operation theatre instruments under controlled conditions.
• Provide sterilised materials to the operation theatre as required.
• Maintain records of cleaning, disinfection and sterilisation effectiveness.
• Monitor and enforce infection‑control measures in line with hospital policy.
• Keep an up‑to‑date inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with N.A.B.H. infection‑control guidelines.
• Handle confidential information regarding patients, staff and organisational matters.
• Perform additional tasks as needed to support departmental operations.

Required profile

• Diploma in Operation Theatre technology or equivalent with relevant CSSD experience.
• Adherence to specified dress code and ID card requirements.
• Ability to work duty hours as scheduled.
• Reports to the In‑charge – Operation Theatre.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency in sterilisation procedures and equipment.
• Knowledge of infection‑control protocols.
• Ability to manage inventory of medical supplies.
• Record‑keeping of sterilisation process effectiveness.
