Credit Risk Management Team Lead

About the role

The Team Lead will head a group of 10+ professionals responsible for credit risk management across BASF subsidiaries in Asia‑Pacific. The role combines people development, service delivery, and strategic partnership with global stakeholders to drive operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the O2C team to meet agreed service matrices and quality standards.
• Design and implement strategies to improve service delivery for BASF entities in the region.
• Develop succession plans, training programs, and talent pipelines to ensure team sustainability.
• Monitor KPIs, drive continuous improvement, and report performance to senior management.
• Collaborate with global credit risk, sales, and finance units to identify risks and support strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Professional finance qualification (CA, CPA, MBA or Master’s in Finance/Accounting).
• 12‑18 years total experience with 3‑5 years in credit management and at least 2 years leading a team of 5‑10 FTEs.
• Project management experience of 2‑3 years; experience in GCC region preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English; additional languages a plus.

Required skills

• Customer Risk Management, Collection and Accounts Receivable.
• Proficiency with SAP ERP.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
