Country Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Country Legal Counsel to independently draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts while providing comprehensive legal support across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate simple and complex contracts such as NDAs, Sale and Purchase, Vendor, Lease, Warehousing, Transportation, MSA, MOU, LOI, indemnity bonds, employment and service contracts.
• Provide basic knowledge on Joint Venture Agreements, mergers and acquisitions, share purchase and shareholder agreements.
• Support litigation and arbitration matters, coordinating with external lawyers as required.
• Advise on industrial and labour law matters and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Manage the contract database and assist business teams in final execution of legal contracts.
• Implement contract management and compliance tools in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver employee awareness programs on compliance, data protection and relevant laws.
• Support internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance.
• Conduct legal research and provide solutions within the legal framework to achieve business objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the automotive industry is an advantage.
• Undergraduate law degree from a premier institution; postgraduate law degree is a plus.
