Counterparty Credit Risk Analyst – Senior (5‑8 yrs)

About the role

KPMG India is seeking a highly motivated Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) professional to join its Risk Management team in Mumbai. You will be responsible for measuring, monitoring, analyzing and reporting CCR exposures arising from derivatives, securities financing transactions and other trading activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess counterparty credit exposures across OTC derivatives, FX, repo, securities lending and other traded products.
  • Perform daily exposure calculations, limit monitoring, stress testing and risk reporting.
  • Analyse key CCR metrics such as Current Exposure (CE), Potential Future Exposure (PFE), Expected Positive Exposure (EPE), Credit Valuation Adjustment (CVA) and Wrong‑Way Risk (WWR).
  • Review counterparty limits, identify breaches and support onboarding, credit assessments and legal documentation (ISDA, CSA, GMRA).
  • Conduct scenario analysis and stress‑testing to evaluate counterparty vulnerability under adverse market conditions.
  • Partner with Trading, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Finance and Operations teams to investigate exposure movements and risk concentrations.
  • Prepare risk presentations and management reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Support regulatory initiatives related to Basel III/IV, SA‑CCR and participate in model validation and methodology enhancements.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics or a related quantitative discipline.
  • 5–8 years of experience in counterparty credit risk, derivatives, securities financing or related risk‑management functions.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with a solid understanding of financial markets.
  • Experience working with front‑office, risk and regulatory teams.

Required skills

  • Knowledge of CCR metrics (CE, PFE, EPE, CVA, WWR).
  • Familiarity with legal documentation such as ISDA, CSA and GMRA.
  • Understanding of Basel III/IV, SA‑CCR regulatory frameworks.
