Counselor – Executive Education Programs

About the role

The Counselor will support participants of NICMAR’s executive education programmes, guiding them through course selection, career development and programme navigation. The role blends educational advising, lead generation and sales conversion to help prospective students enrol and current participants succeed.

Key responsibilities

• Provide detailed information on programmes, curricula and admission requirements.
• Generate and qualify leads through outbound calls and follow‑ups.
• Communicate NICMAR’s value proposition and convert leads into applications and admissions.
• Conduct one‑on‑one counselling sessions to assess career goals, strengths and development needs.
• Recommend suitable courses or specialisations aligned with individual objectives.
• Monitor participant progress, address concerns and facilitate networking opportunities.
• Organise workshops and events that enhance participants’ professional networks.
• Handle any additional duties assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university (MBA or postgraduate qualification is a plus).
• 2–3 years of experience in inside sales, lead generation or similar roles, preferably in EdTech or higher education.
• Experience in career counselling for executive or professional development programmes.
• Fluent in English, Hindi and Marathi.
• Familiarity with adult learning principles and current executive education trends.
