Cost Controller

About the role

The Cost Controller & Analyst will provide hands‑on financial controlling and business partnering to SAR‑supported functions. This role combines high‑level business partnership with precise analytical work, acting as the financial compass for cost discipline, planning and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Finance Business Partner to function leads, analysing cost drivers at cost‑center and department level and presenting results to non‑finance stakeholders.
• Provide practical advice on costs, consulting spend, FTEs, Capex and projects; identify cost risks and propose optimisation actions.
• Support Outlook, Target and Budget cycles, including variance analysis, financial commentary and proactive analyses for management decisions.
• Execute month‑end close activities (accruals, reclassifications, allocations, FTE postings) and review actuals versus targets, communicating key drivers.
• Manage cost‑center and FTE planning, support Capex controlling, business cases and capitalization.
• Monitor data quality, address issues, support audits, M&A and project budgeting while ensuring financial compliance.
• Drive digitalisation and automation of controlling and reporting, promote standardisation and leverage AI‑enabled tools where available.

Required profile

• Finance professional with hands‑on experience in cost control, budgeting and month‑end close.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into clear insights for non‑financial audiences.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and process simplification.
