Cost Accountant

About the role

The Cost Accountant will join the offshore finance team supporting Olde Thompson's manufacturing business. Reporting to the Accounting Manager (India), you will handle product costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis for a global food‑ingredients company.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain standard cost data in SAP (CK11N / CK40N) and execute monthly costing runs.
• Review and validate Bills of Materials (BOM) in SAP, assessing cost impact of changes.
• Prepare product cost sheets and support techno‑commercial costing for new product launches.
• Perform monthly variance analysis of material, labour and overhead costs, investigating root causes.
• Calculate raw material cost percentages and prepare mix, price and yield variance reports.
• Support inventory reconciliations and produce costing MIS reports for finance leadership.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• CMA qualification.
• Ability to work in a structured, deadline‑driven, multi‑entity setting with US‑based stakeholders.
