Corporate Safety Head (HSE Leader)

About the role

The Corporate Safety Head will lead the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) function for a leading pre‑engineered building solutions provider in India. Reporting to the Executive Director & CEO, the role covers manufacturing plants, construction sites, warehouses and corporate offices, requiring extensive travel across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the corporate HSE strategy, policies, standards and annual roadmap.
• Drive a proactive safety culture and set HSE objectives, KPIs and governance frameworks.
• Oversee safe operations in fabrication, welding, painting, material handling, assembly and dispatch.
• Lead risk assessments, hazard mitigation, safety inspections, internal audits and emergency preparedness programs.
• Design and monitor project‑specific HSE plans for erection and construction activities, ensuring compliance with work‑at‑height, lifting, scaffolding, confined space and hot‑work procedures.
• Manage contractor safety through audits, inspections and performance reviews.
• Ensure statutory compliance, maintain permits, licenses and audit readiness, and liaise with regulatory authorities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in HSE leadership within manufacturing and EPC/construction environments.
• Proven ability to integrate safety into operational and strategic decision‑making.
• Strong knowledge of Indian health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
