Corporate & M&A Attorney – Remote (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Corporate/M&A Attorney to join a leading technology client on a contract basis. The role is fully remote and focuses on reviewing, annotating, and ensuring compliance of complex corporate and financial documents that will be used to train next‑generation AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyze corporate, mergers & acquisitions, and financial documents for regulatory and data‑privacy compliance.
• Identify and mitigate personally identifiable information (PII) exposure, documenting anonymization best practices.
• Provide guidance on structural identifiability to balance compliance with data utility for AI training.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop training resources that reflect current legal frameworks.
• Maintain thorough documentation of compliance measures for audit and review purposes.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• Minimum three years of experience in corporate law, M&A, or financial services with a strong compliance focus.
• Demonstrated knowledge of data‑privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, or comparable statutes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating legal concepts for non‑legal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing data privacy.
