Corporate Counsel

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join its global legal team. The position is based in the Gurugram office and will support the People Places & Solutions (P&PS) North America line of business, providing legal advice for design‑build and construction projects across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal support to the P&PS Americas team on construction and design‑build matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, sub‑contracts and related documentation.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with infrastructure and engineering projects.
• Collaborate with sales, operations and senior management to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Assist the US attorney in managing the legal portfolio for the Building & Infrastructure Americas practice.

Required profile

• 4–8 years of post‑qualification experience as a qualified lawyer.
• Strong academic record and practical experience in‑house or in private practice.
• Experience in the infrastructure, engineering, construction or services sector is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, commercial environment and handle cross‑border matters.
