Corporate Counsel Associate – Legal Team

About the role

ISS STOXX is expanding its legal team in Gurgaon and seeks a Corporate Counsel Associate to support the global sales organization. The role focuses on drafting, negotiating and reviewing complex commercial, professional services and licensing agreements for the group’s benchmark provider and its subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to global teams on contracts, corporate law, regulatory requirements, product development and compliance matters.
• Structure, draft, review, analyse and negotiate complex services, data, software, procurement, supply and nondisclosure agreements.
• Assist with updates to template agreements and internal policy modifications.
• Conduct legal research and support subsidiary management.

Required profile

• LL.B. degree from a leading Indian law university or an internationally recognised law school, with good standing in an Indian State Bar Council.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience at a top law firm or as in‑house counsel handling corporate and commercial matters for multinational firms.
• Proven ability to review, analyse, draft and lead negotiations of complex commercial agreements.
• Strong analytical, communication and organisational skills, with the capacity to work in a fast‑paced, global environment.
• Flexibility to support a global business and build strong internal client relationships.
