Corporate Controller – CP&O

About the role

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Finance Controller Specialist to lead financial planning, controlling excellence, and process standardisation across its global operations. You will partner with stakeholders to drive performance through robust budgeting, forecasting, reporting and continuous improvement of finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Drive global standardisation and continuous improvement of financial controlling processes.
• Manage end‑to‑end processes for P&L, balance‑sheet review and variance analysis.
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Monitor process performance via KPIs and recommend efficiency actions.
• Collaborate with finance teams, Centres of Excellence and business stakeholders to ensure compliance with standards.
• Identify gaps and support implementation of corrective actions.
• Facilitate process governance, documentation and change‑management activities.
• Review and support process‑enhancement initiatives aligned with global finance standards.
• Foster strong stakeholder relationships and provide guidance on finance process best practices.
• Leverage AI, digital technologies and reporting tools to improve insights and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost and Management Accountant (CMA).
• 2‑5 years experience in financial controlling, accounting, FP&A or related finance functions.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of P&L management, balance‑sheet analysis and variance reporting.
• Experience in multinational, matrix organisations.
• Knowledge of finance process management and improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Demonstrated use of AI and digital tools to enhance decision‑making while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
