Controls Engineer – Systems Commissioning

About the role

The Controls Engineer will lead the design, integration and commissioning of product control systems for industrial customers. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure that control solutions meet functional, safety and performance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and implement engineering solutions for product control and control‑system technology needs.
• Apply control theory and mathematical modelling to create control logic, algorithms, sensor and hardware configurations.
• Commission systems according to approved designs, perform FAT and on‑site testing.
• Integrate IEDs from multiple OEMs using IEC 61850 standards.
• Troubleshoot network architecture and ensure proper operation of SAS systems.
• Document commissioning activities, maintain safety compliance and report progress to supervisors.
• Build strong customer relationships and act as the technical interface between the customer and GE.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Controls Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3‑5 years of hands‑on commissioning and controls engineering experience.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
