Controlling Analyst – Business & Project Finance

About the role

Support operational controlling activities for assigned business areas by performing financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and cost monitoring. Provide reliable financial insights to stakeholders, support service charging governance and project cost management, and contribute to performance tracking and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with corporate financial policies.

Key responsibilities

• Own service‑charging contract governance, monthly reporting, budget tracking, forecasting and annual budgeting, and perform ad‑hoc cost analyses and deep‑dives.
• Coordinate project cost reporting, forecasting and budgeting, and support ad‑hoc analysis of project expenditures.
• Analyse cost flows, monitor cost drivers, and provide transparency to stakeholders.
• Support KPI analysis, identify improvement measures and drive automation of KPI tracking.
• Liaise with the Finance Manager to ensure compliance with BASF Group guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, with a professional qualification such as CA or CMA.
• 2‑4 years of relevant experience in business or controlling functions.
• Strong analytical abilities, proactive service orientation and excellent communication skills in English.
• Team player with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
