Controller / Manager – NetSuite (Hyderabad)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Controller / Manager to lead end‑to‑end accounting functions for our operational consulting business in Hyderabad. The role will work closely with the US‑based CFO, operations and consulting teams to ensure accurate financial tracking, timely invoicing and reliable reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and perform bank reconciliations.
• Post journal entries, accruals, provisions and adjustments during period‑end closing.
• Prepare client invoices for time‑and‑material, milestone‑based or manpower utilization projects and track receivables.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial close packages, MIS and management reports covering revenue, costs, project profitability and variance analysis.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and variance tracking against budget.
• Process vendor invoices, consultant payments, employee reimbursements and payroll coordination with HR.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Drive process improvements and support ERP implementation or migration, preferably NetSuite.

Required profile

• 7+ years of accounting experience in a services, consulting or project‑based environment.
• B.Com, M.Com or MBA in Finance (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, invoicing, receivables tracking and reconciliations.
• Mandatory experience with payroll processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to interact with US‑based leadership.
• High attention to detail, ownership and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced setting.
