Control Room Operator – Refinery Project

About the role

The Control Room Operator will support the refinery project in Numaligarh, Assam, ensuring safe and efficient operation of control room activities. The role involves managing permits, monitoring underground systems, and coordinating interdisciplinary tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Issue and manage Hot Work and Cold Work permits for hydrocarbon and utility services.
• Apply OISD Standard‑105 knowledge to control room operations.
• Monitor and maintain refinery underground systems, including OWS/CRWS networks, electrical and instrument cables.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary activities for refinery modification jobs.
• Ensure compliance with refinery safety practices and permit‑to‑work procedures.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech in any engineering discipline with at least 3 years of refinery/process industry experience, OR
• Diploma in Engineering with at least 6 years of refinery/process industry experience.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of OISD Standard‑105.
• Experience issuing Hot Work and Cold Work permits.
• Understanding of refinery underground systems (OWS/CRWS networks, electrical and instrument cables).
• Strong interdisciplinary coordination for refinery modification projects.
• Familiarity with refinery safety practices and permit‑to‑work systems.
