About the role

CALCUTTA 64 is looking for a motivated Continental Kitchen Commis to join its on‑site team in Kharagpur. This full‑time position supports the kitchen in preparing and cooking continental dishes under the guidance of senior chefs, ensuring each plate meets the cafe’s quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with mise en place and basic cooking tasks for continental menu items.
• Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and plating guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, storing ingredients properly.
• Adhere to hygiene and safety protocols throughout service hours.
• Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Basic experience in a professional kitchen or formal culinary training.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with chefs and service staff.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays as required.
