Consultant Pathologist - Sikar

About the role

The Consultant Pathologist will lead diagnostic reporting and ensure compliance with NABL/ISO standards in a high‑throughput laboratory serving clinicians and corporate partners. The role combines technical supervision, quality management, and stakeholder engagement to deliver accurate, timely results.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and sign out pathological results, ensuring clinical correlation and meeting defined turnaround times.
• Monitor daily laboratory workflow, conduct shift planning, and manage sample processing to avoid bottlenecks.
• Oversee quality management activities, including IQC, EQAS, CAPA closure, and internal audits.
• Supervise pre‑analytical processes, specimen handling, and rejection criteria, and train phlebotomy teams.
• Lead technical team training, competency assessments, and scientific case discussions.
• Manage consumables, reagent inventory, equipment calibration, maintenance logs, and AMC contracts.
• Engage with clinicians and corporate parties to address queries, provide diagnostic guidance, and represent the laboratory in CME events.

Required profile

• Strong diagnostic judgment with ability to interpret complex test results.
• Proficiency in managing NABL/ISO‑based quality systems, IQC/EQAS, and CAPA processes.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary laboratory teams and coordinating shift operations.
• Ability to analyse performance data (TAT, QC trends, consumable usage) and implement evidence‑based improvements.
• Deep knowledge of pathology domains (biochemistry, immunology, hematology, microbiology) and ISO 15189 requirements.
• Hands‑on experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for result review and delta checks.
