Consultant – Internal Audit (Hyderabad)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Consultant for its Internal Audit team in Hyderabad. The role focuses on risk‑based operational, compliance, ISO and financial audits for Deloitte USI entities, supporting internal stakeholders across India and the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Perform operational, compliance, ISO and financial audits using risk‑based methodology.
• Evaluate risks and controls, recommending improvements aligned with industry best practices.
• Prepare and review audit programs, assign work, and ensure sufficient audit evidence is collected.
• Critically review workpapers and audit documentation.
• Identify learning needs and support development of team members.
• Collaborate with auditors, seniors, managers and maintain professional relationships with auditees in India and the US.

Required profile

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• 4‑6 years of experience in internal or statutory audit (excluding articleship).
• Strong knowledge of business process audits and professional skepticism.
• High integrity, ethical standards and commitment to data privacy.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Familiarity with data‑analytical techniques.
