Construction Manager

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Construction Manager to lead project delivery, design management and construction activities across a range of services. The role collaborates with commercial, engineering and design leaders to plan, develop, deliver and operate projects.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure proper and efficient discharge of company responsibilities for plant construction, adhering to policies and requirements.
• Recruit, develop and manage staff, including interviewing candidates and making hiring recommendations.
• Oversee construction aspects of sub‑contracts, planning, estimating and site safety procedures.
• Demonstrate commitment to quality management systems and continuous improvement.
• Maintain compliance with contractual, statutory and legal requirements, especially regarding safety and quality assurance.
• Assign site staff, determine training needs and coordinate with HR for staff development.
• Conduct regular staff assessments, appraisals and record results.
• Prepare man‑hour and cost estimates for proposals and liaise with estimating groups.
• Authorize expenses, arrange construction planning inputs and prepare budgets for field services.
• Consult and liaise with the Legal Department and other internal teams on construction‑related matters.

Required profile

• Strong leadership with a commitment to quality, safety and compliance.
• Experience in staff recruitment, development and performance management.
• Ability to manage sub‑contracts, planning, estimating and safety procedures.
• Proven capability to prepare budgets, cost estimates and manage expenses.
• Effective communication and collaboration with cross‑functional teams, including legal and HR.
