Configuration Management Engineer – Product Structure

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions for semiconductor and display manufacturing. The Configuration Management Engineer (Product Structure Engineer) will create, maintain and govern master Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product structures across engineering and manufacturing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain master BOMs and product structures, reviewing and authorizing engineering changes.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and planning teams to implement and control BOM changes.
• Manage the engineering change process, assessing impacts on manufacturing and supply chain.
• Generate and maintain assembly BOMs in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Validate new functionality in PDM, ERP and other engineering systems to ensure continuity of configuration management activities.

Required profile

• BE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing or engineering environments with exposure to BOM management and ERP systems.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Teamcenter (TcE) and UG NX.
• SAP and Oracle ERP platforms.
• Working knowledge of MRP and work order processes.
